Bailey recently
informed me that the More
Than Music Fest schedule was just updated with some new acts. Scheduled for
the weekend of July 11, it looks like it’s already shaping up to be hotta. The bill
already includes Aesop Rock, RJD2, Mr. Lif, Bonnie Billy, Party of Helicopters,
Songs:Ohia, Ex-Models, These Arms Are Snakes, The ECC, Teeth Of
The Hydra, plus many many more.
Should be better for me than last year, when I walked up to pay,
asked the guy at the door how long the Walkmen had been playing, was
told they just started, paid, and got to the stage just as the Walkmen
finished “Wake Up” and walked off the stage.

Just heard that Fischerspooner have been
confirmed as the Keynote presentation at this year’s MacWorld
Creative Pro Expo in NYC, July 17th. For some reason, I find this incredibly funny. Anyway, if
you can’t wait til then to see ‘em, they be playin’ in Boston on June 27th w/Iggy Pop, tha YYYs, and Hot Hot Heat.

Apparently, Skating Club has a new album out on July 21 on
Wishing Tree Records. I really dug
the previous album, so I’m looking forward to checking it out. Recommended if you like indie rock
of the Softy McQuiet variety (Low, Ida, Spain, &c.).
