The Fiery Furnaces, known in some circles as “Rough Trade’s White Stripes”,
will release their next single “Tropical Ice-land” February 23rd (stateside).
It’s a re-recorded version of the album track; the white vinyl 7″ version
will features “Sweet Spots” on the flipside, whilst the CD version features
“We Got Back The Plague (SBN version)”, which you can actually download if you can be
bothered to sign up here.
Btw, you’ll also get access to mp3s of “I Lost My Dog (SBN version)”, “South Is Only A Home”,
and “Don’t Dance Her Down”.

Also, the Walkmen will be on Conan February 6th,
probably performing “The Rat”, their wisely-chosen first single from Bows and Arrows.
