Shal Halperin of Philadelphia’s The Capitol Years decided to see how many Philly band names he could name-drop in just one song. He managed to do 35 of them, in just about 6 and a half minutes. And the resulting song really isn’t the bad, gimmicky, stream-of-conch* you might expect; it’s actually pretty good:
