Aw, I just love El Perro Del Mar. Ever since that 2004 split with Jens Lekman, I’ve loved El Perro. Did you know her self-titled album will finally see release outside of Sweden on April 10th, courtesy of Memphis Industries? Of course, that only covers the UK and Europe, so US: you’re still screwed. Ah well, at least we have mp3s, including this one, which I can’t get enough of:

Memphis also recently signed The Pipettes, and on March 27th, will be releasing their new single (which I’ve got on ‘Repeat’). It’s called “Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me”, and much like the The Envelopes‘ “Free Jazz”, its existence as a salable single prevents me from posting it as an mp3. But there’s always Myspace.

In non-Memphis Industries female artist news, Ashtmatic Kitty has posted an mp3 from the upcoming Half-Handed Cloud record, Halos & Lassos, out March 7th. In my opinion, this is the best HHC album yet.
