Stuff, Stuff, more Stuff
Ok, I’m gonna shut up about CBR 003 so I can tell you about some other stuff that’s just come out.
The Slight Record has just released The Black Tango, the new disc from Boy Omega. And while the rest of the world settles for prix fixe CDs, the Slight Record has a novel idea: Find something on the site that you like, and just click the “Make Offer” button.
Wonder how many CDs I could get in trade for a healthy white baby? I’m just asking, uh, hypothetically.
And, finally available: Levi Fuller’s This Murder Is A Peaceful Gathering. Levi really put together a great album here. Lovely, spooky, pretty, sad songs. About crows.
Also now out is Songs For Another Place, the 2CD compilation by Italian label Awful Bliss, featuring new and unreleased tracks from Unbunny, Elephant Micah, Will Johnson, and many others, including Faris Nourallah, who also has a new disc out on Green UFOs, which Kaleb says is just amazing. I haven’t heard it, but the clips I’ve heard do intrigue me.
About 9 months ago, The Paper Cranes‘ amazing “I’ll Love You Til My Veins Explode” appeared over at Are You Familiar, and I couldn’t stop listening to it. Now, they finally have an actual physical EP, and it’s available exclusively online over at Insound.
Hey, have all Constantines fans noted the limited-edition (500) vinyl LP split with The Unintended? The Cons cover Neil Young songs on the disc, and The Unintended cover Gordon Lightfoot. No, I’m not making this shit up. You can buy it at Sonic Unyon.
In Other Three Gut-ish news, they’re saying that that Royal City B-sides/Outtakes album is actually in the works now. That pleases me greatly.
