Happy New Year! Or Crappy New Year, or if you prefer.

You know, 2006 was a pretty shite year for good new music. I mean, sure, there were plenty of middling-to-awful releases (or as bloggers would say, “amazing”-to-”mind-blowing”), but the good stuff seemed to have called in sick for ‘06, for the most part.

Now, I’m not a pessimist or anything, but I just have this sneaking *feeling* that’s *sort of* bothering me…. and that feeling that 2007 is gonna end up, pretty much, just “More Of The Same ™.”

Rest assured, though: I’ma do whatever I can to help. Starting right now. Step 1:
