Wolf Hands
It’s my assertion that the word “Hands” has now replaced the (some-years-old-now) “Wolf” as most-preferred indie band name constructor term (though, granted, “Bear” was a contender there for awhile). AIDS Wolf, Wolf Eyes, Patrick Wolf, Guitar Wolf, Wolf Parade… prepare to be edged out by Bear Hands, The Shaky Hands, Cut Off Your Hands, Hands, THE Hands, Hands and Knees…
Obligatory smattering of Wolves & Hands mp3s:
::: Patrick Wolf - The Magic Position :::
::: Guitar Wolf - Three AM Noodle Shop :::
::: The Shaky Hands - Maker Make :::
::: Hands and Knees - You Got Pop You Got Style :::
::: Clap Your Hands Say Yeah - Lost and Found :::
This realization occured to me after I came across a post about a band called Vampire Hands, whose name suddenly seems a little awkward only because of the rapid ascension of another Vampire band.
Me, I’m not taking any chances– I’m putting together a new band called the Vampire Bear Wolf Deer-Antlered Octopus Unicorn Owl Fixed-Gear Library-Scientist Hands.
