Digital Downloads IRL
Phonelopie wonders if brick-and-mortar stores can/should sell downloads. I’m not so sure it’s a workable idea, Coolfer thinks the exact opposite.

By the end of the decade Rupert Murdoch will be selling all the downloads. And all the uploads. And every other heaping load of shit he can get his Aussie hands on.

I like the idea but not the specifics. I’d rather see computer kiosks that somehow provide every title known to man with a recommendation engine combined with in store professional guidance. Make the record store experience more service orientated for those people that aren’t exactly sure what they would like.
