Absolutetly Kosher *NOT* RIAA Narcs
Alright, so now Cory of Absolutely Kosher has responded too. AK is on that RIAA list strictly due to some fine print in a specific distribution deal. As seems
to be the case with most all of these small labels mentioned recently, no one is, like, a card-carrying,
dues-paying RIAA member or anything. I mean, don’t we all remember how Cooties get spread? You could end up with those just be sitting *next* to the kid that had them.
Also, Jonathan pointed out this wikipedia entry, explaining how Matador got in the clear.
Anyway, one last thing and then I’m done with this topic (maybe): I think it’s worth mentioning that The RIAA Radar still lists these labels as “Safe”, FWIW (though I know that doesn’t change your mind at all, O’ Lords of #IT).
Also, I would be remiss if I talked about Abs Kosh and neglected to point you to the album artwork for Rob Crow’s upcoming “Goblin Cock” project.
