Unbunny, Spoon, Supergrass

Unbunny‘s beautifully packaged Typist EP came out this week. Here’s a track:

::: X :::

Dude, just because Spoon, like, “belongs to the world” or whatever now,
ain’t no reason for me to lay off ‘em or anything. So, anyway, it looks like the new choice, obvs, for a single is “Sister Jack”, and
both Matador and Merge will
have their own versions of the single w/ different bonus tracks.

Matador version:

1. Sister Jack
2. Monkey Feelings
3. It Took A Rumour To Make Me Wonder Now I’m Afraid I’m Going Under
4. I Turn My Camera On video

Merge version:

1. Sister Jack
2. I Turn My Camera On (John McEntire remix)
3. Sunday Morning Wednesday Night
4. Sister Jack video

Whattya know, here’s that Sister Jack video right here.

And as long as we’re on the subject, don’t forget that the all-new Spoon track, “My First Time Volume 3″, should be
showing up on iTunes pretty soon, too.

It *is* pretty true what they say, Supergrass have gone and made a “grown-up” album with Road To Rouen, but man, that ain’t a bad thing. Shawn sent over a link to this Road To Rouen streaming sampler, go check it out.

So Long To The Bigger Lovers

One of my absolute favorite bands, Philadelphia’s The Bigger Lovers, is calling it a day. Over the years, I have seen them more than a handful of times, and quite honestly, those shows rank among the very best shows I have *ever* been to in my life. All of their albums can be purchased here, and I promise that each and every one is well worth your dollar.

I’ll see you all at Indre Studios in South Philly on November 5th, when the Bigger Lovers play their farewell show.
